First off who are you and where are you from?

My name is Best Inda Game and im from a place i call HollyWatts Ca, a part of South Central Los Angeles.Best Ina Game

What has your life been like there growing up till now ?

In 65? we had the first riots then again in the 90?s we had another riot so you can imagine. It was 2 of us. I have a brother. A single mother raised us. Our father died when I was eight.

Living in Watts, was what I made of it, after I got out of high school, I started Hustling, and so you can imagine what comes with that. I?ve been to the State and Federal Pen every situation has its ups and Downs I was hustling when the real Freeway Rick Ross was doing his thing.

So how you deal with getting locked up in the pen ?

God! Going back to my roots, how I was raised. That?s how I dealt with it. I was focused before I went in and after I came how, I had goals. Had a plan! Gotta have a plan, stay focused and stick to it. The ?Lifers?! I realized that majority of the women were in prison due to or regarding a man.

What got you into hip-hop?

Well me and my cousin Scott DJ Shake, and two of the homies Tyrone ?Mc TIE? and Kurk ?Mc Funky Gee?, was chillin talking and shake was a deejaying, and was talking about starting a rap group. I was like ok and, I will start an Independent Label and financially back ya?ll. So that?s how I got into Rap, I had the first rap group out of Watts P.O.W Prisoners of Watts, and the Label was Big MaMa Records & Recording Studio?

What Hip-Hop did grow up on?

I grew up on NWA, Grandmaster Flash, Toddy T, World Class Wrecking Crew (WCRC) Run DMC and the list goes on? back then, man. Flatland artist? I have been in the lab perfecting our craft.

Have you met/worked with any other gay emcees on the scene?

When did you first learn there were other gay rappers ?

When I camegayhiphop Best Inda Game home from the pen. I thought I was going to start a new revolution. LOL, got stopped dead in my tracks.

What do you think of the whole Out/gay hip-hop scene ?

A bunch of ?Favoritism? I don?t know where I fit in. I don?t know how to say it, but I feel that my community is not as supportive. I guess I don?t be out kissing Asses?. I mean, you know just non supportive. Maybe I?m too street, too hard, too hood?

Do you get many gigs ? gay or str8 ?

I get gigs, Gay or Str8! Lately I have been focusing behind the scenes. Right now I feel it is time not to discriminate.

Are you a gay rapper or a rapper that?s gay ?

I know that I am a rapper who is Gay. It?s my life, my style! I rap about my life. The life I live. Gay rappers rap about being Gay. I'm a HUSTLER! I'm a a RAPPER! I'm a mother, you dig?

If you had to feature 2 gay and 2 str8 mc?s (any) on your next album who would you choose?

Gay: Knee Hi from the Five Footas, Deadlee, and Big Nugg.
Str8 Ti, Luda, Queen, and/or Lil Wayne.

I haven?t done Peaceout , Yet. I?ve done the Homorevelotuion tour, and would do it again. Yeah sure.

Did you do the whole of the tour? Anything particularly strikes you about any one you met. Was there lots of support!

No, San Diego, Long Beach, Vegas. It was interesting, different artist. Everyone was different. Everyone was good! I?ve done interviews and I?ve had a few write ups no magazine coverage, very little press?

What would you say your style oh hip-hop is?

I?ve been told a cross between a female easy E and Biggie? my style is what I call Reality Music.

0 #2 lady 2009-07-07 05:32 I think that The Best has skills. I'm a rapper myself, and I know talent when I hear it. Sadly I am not openly gay, but I am gay, and I think that rappers really need to step aside and share the mic, music is very universal and shouldn't be contriversal. Keep up the good work mama!!!
